As linked on the MacNN main page, Yahoo! has increased its music subscription price from $60/year to a whopping $120/year. And if you stop paying, you lose access to the music you've downloaded.

Am I alone in thinking that this will do nothing but increase the iTMS/iPod marketshare (since you buy, not rent, your music)??

Would you pay $120 per year, with the possibility of fee-hikes, for an "all-you-can-eat" iTunes subscription?

As the MacNN article notes, it's still less than the subscription services of Napster and RealNetworks, so I doubt it will have an effect either way.

"One ticket to Washington, please. I have a date with destiny."
