The 1.0 release version of Parallels is now available for download.
I've downloaded and installed it. I ran it to make sure it still worked, and all is fine so far. It does update with Parallels Windows drivers, but not yet sure what's new.

The beta versions all had varying levels of problems with usb, can you comment if those issues have been resolved?

One big problem with using parallels for me was the lack of usb for my stuff. I couldn't get my kodak 1400 printer to work. Using Qimage and printing out my photos is a large part of my need to use windows.

This version does not have markedly different USB support.

Can't really comment. The only USB device I've tried is a flash drive, and it worked fine.
