weird, I distinctly thought I'd written stuff in it...

anyway, why isn't it a worthwhile thread?

I merely asked if the shuffle would work on win 98 as I was planning on buying one for my other half who uses an old sony vaio (and no we don't have enough money to upgrade it, nor do we really need to).

Sorry if that's not really worthwhile, though I now understand why there were no replies!

I didn't mean to offend, but Windows 98 is pretty ancient.
iTunes is Windows 2000/XP only, anyway.

no offence taken. however, whilst it might be a pretty ancient system software its still better than XP. I knew itunes wouldn't work (as looked up the min requirements) but thought it might be worth asking if the actual shuffle might work.
