I just hooked up a graphite airport base staion and with my laptop I get a timer when the airport dials up over the phoneline. It's great...

...but on the computer that hooked up over the eithernet I don't know if it works unless I have a browser running.

Is there a way to know when the modem on the airport is conected on the LAN machine?

He has several java applications for controlling airport base stations over ethernet, including showing time connected.

Use the developer tools to make the java into an app.

thanks but it's pretty over my head

I can configure just about anything but "make the java into an app" is pretty scary for me
