I just upgraded to a Mac Pro from a PowerMac G4 and used the Migration tool to transfer all my info. After the migration was completed the clock was completely messed up. The time zone said "GMT" so I set it to "CST (Chicago)". But every time I close the Date & Time Preferences it resets itself back to "GMT." I've tried repairing permissions, but it didn't help. Does anyone know how I can reset my Date & Time Preferences?

I just wanted to thank you for posting this info. I upgraded as well and I was about to pull my hair out trying to fix the issue! It worked!

Thanks again for having this posted here. You saved me a lot of time!
