Somehow, somewhere, I've lost my 'Display' preferences, so now I can't change monitor setup, resolution, etc.

I lost it a while ago, and can't figure out how to restore it - short of reinstalling the entire system.

Neither the 10.0.3 or 10.0.4 updates have reinstalled it.

How else can I get Displays back? Can someone post a copy somewhere?

have you tried to do an update install from the 10.0 CD? [then apply 10.0.4 combined updater over it]. it takes only a few moments...

it will not touch your / etc, /Library, /Users settings, etc., but it will replace missing files.

you might want to delete this bad boy, then do the reinstall ...(just a hunch)...
/System/Library/Preferences/Displays.preference
