Yah it's happened to me a couple of times too, haven't heard of any fix for it though. Wonder if the new PB have them too.

I get that too on a Pismo, there's a TIL document onsomewhere on Apple's site saying that it's a known probem. If I remember correctly, It happens when you adjust the volume settings too quickly and the balance shoots off into one channel. The solution? not to press the volume key too quickly. Lol

Funny you should bring this up as I have just been experiencing this lately. I thought my VLC was corrupted, but then I went to the sytem prefs and switched the balance back. When have people experienced this? I only really notice when I have headphones on, but we should figure out if it is for certain models or certain programs. So far, I have only noticed this happening when using VLC on my 12" Al.

It happens on my PB17 all of the time. I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. I thought I was on crazy pills or something.

Does anyone know if there's a fix for this "known problem" or if Panther will correct it?

It's no big deal, just slighty annoying.
I'd love to know.

Happens on my 17" iMac. Worse even is when I am playing itunes and the sound cuts out for a few seconds, then comes back. Its completely random and annoying.
