How Can I mount .img (OS9) disk images?
is there a utility?
I'm running classic but it doens't seem to work with it... the image opens in Disk Copy in OS X but it didn't actualy mount anything.
If I try to force it with OS9 Disk Copy I get a mount error...
don't tell me I have to reboot in OS 9 cuz that always causes problems for me.
OS 9 is dead to me

Darn, sorry about that. Not sure of anything else that can do the trick...

Like Art Vandelay, I've never had any trouble mounting OS 9 disk images in OS X but you could try this terminal command:
"hdiutil mount (your disk image)"

the .img you're trying to mount is NOT A DISK COPY IMAGE.
It is a Shrinkwrap image. It will not mount in OS 9 either unless you have Shrinkwrap installed.
To use it in OS X without booting into OS 9, you have to use Shrinkwrap in Classic to convert the image to a standard DiskCopy format.
(this has been discussed here several times, btw - a search should have turned up *at least* two threads)

your a pompous ass
there is no indication on the file that it's shrink wrap. I pulled out an old 7500 and got it to mount on that with disk copy.
now I was trying to save time not get hassled by an "over poster"
(edit had to fix some grammer)

Have you tried manually opening the Classic version of Disk Copy and opening the .IMG viw the File menu? I don't have OS 9 on my Pismo so I don't know if this will work or not.

yeah I tried... but disk copy for OS 9 gives a mount error on all images. I think It's aproblem with How my classic and OS X interact.

Oh.
Sorry I helped.
I'll abstain in future, as I'm sure you'll eventually discover the "search" function. It's slightly faster than seven hours of waiting for posts.
