I inadvertently deleted System Preferences.app

Now I have a ? in my dock where the System Preferences used to be, and I can't edit any prefs.

Is there any way I can restore it short of a reinstall? Can I copy System Preferences.app from another machine and have it work?

yup, just get the System Preferences app and put it back in the /Applications folder and you'll be all set. and here, you can have mine if you like . just unzip it (with OpenUp or the CLI) and your back in business.

now, back to work for me. I just stopped by the forums to research a paper, honest
