Anybody know how to download the free RealOne player??

going to the real website results in nothing but an endless circle of redirects - that is before the browser (be it IE, safari, or chimera) - puts an end to it and displays nothing.

download.com, points to the trial version of the pay services, and Apple's download section no longer has it listed.

I know Real One is god awful, but I need it to listen to some guital pedal samples that are only available in real audio format.

This page has a link to the free download start page. It will ask you to register with an email address, username and password, but feel free to provide a "creative" email addy.

They want to trick you into paying for their Season Pass and "Premium Content."

Just go to VersionTracker.com and download from there. I've always gotten right to it that way, as VT requires a direct link to the download location from developers.
