Hi, I tried to play the avi file and Real Player start up and tell to to download the plug-in to play the file. But message say the there is no such plug-in. May I know what are the solution to this?

See if you can open the file from within QuickTime.

Start QuickTime

File: Open

Find your AVI file and select open.

This might or might not work, I myself had plenty of AVI files that refused to play.

Try windows media player, if that doesn't play it, it's probably encoded with a divx codec. divx doctor can convert it to a .mov file that quicktime can play.
