Please, please forgive me for being naive, but I'm not 100% sure what the picture is of. I presume its some sort of a weed (wink, wink), but I've never seen it in that kind of a cone-shaped thing.

yeah... I have never actually looked closely at weed before, but I do know that that picture is indeed weed...

I wonder if the cat gets high off the second hand smoke... so he knows what to look for?

That's the "bud". The real thing. Most people are more familiar with the well-known marijuana leaf :

The bud is the flower of the plant. The trichomes Ambush is talking about are the crystalline substance you can see on the surface. They are like little hair covered in oil, which you use to produce hashish.

This is some rare weed right here. Not because it's good, but because I haven't smoked anything since...hell, it's been many months. Sometimes I pick it up and look at it for a few minutes. Smell it, talk to it, just show it some love. Gonna smoke it next week on a Caribbean cruise. Gonna get *blazed up*, dogg.

Since some of you didn't recognize the 'bud' form of marijuana - this will really confuse you.

This is my buddy 'jay' delivering to me a pair of 1/4 pound 'bricks' of marijuana. These are highly compressed and consist of pretty much the entire plant - minus the stalk. If you got hit in the head by one of these bricks it would hurt pretty bad. This is how I used to buy my weed. The 2 bricks represented about a 2 week supply. And, yes, I would smoke it all myself. (edit: using a small brass 'one-hitter) The price of each 4 ounce brick was $165. Which is a 'wholesale' price. Street value in 1/4 oz denominations would be about $30. So, the 2 bricks would yield 32 - $30 bags or $960.

'jay' is serving time nowadays. Something to do with Oxycontin distribution in Virginia.
