I downloaded the Flash MX demo on to my iBook this morning and when I took the iBook to work and commenced to install the program it told me that I needed Carbonlib 1.5 or higher to complete the installation process.
I downloaded Carbonlib 1.5 to a pc and burnt it on to a CD to transfer to the Mac.
Where on the hard drive is one meant to place the carbonlib.bin file?
Or have I done something completely idiotic here? I can't seem to find instructions about this anywhere.
(Mac OS 9.2)

Um,why is that whenever I post a question at a forum I manage to sort it out 5 minutes later.
Was a simple matter of a drag and drop to the desktop and clicking through the instructions.
Typical Monday morning.

Always the way
For future reference, most (not all) items which belong in specific places within the System Folder, when dragged onto the System Folder (and released), will tell you where they need to be put, and ask if you want them automatically moved there.
The same thing works if you drag a bunch of files, each with different destinations.
Try it. Grab a control panel and an extension, take them to the desktop, then drag both at once to the System Folder.
