If you haven't read the news, Bruce Jenner was involver in a crash that resulted in the death of the other driver. His SUV struck another cat from behind, forcing it in to on coming traffic. The crash was caught on camera. If the rumor that he was texting while driving, he could be going to jail for a long time.

Interesting. I had not seen the later report on the Prius. He still may bear some responsibility if it is found he was texting AND tailgating.

I never knew about Jenner until the headlines the past two weeks. I'd never seen that ridiculous show.

I wish I was still living in blissful ignorance.

Even though I was five at the time, Bruce Jenner's gold at the Olympics was burned into my brain.

I mean... he was on the Wheaties box!

I remember the TV spot.

and the Belushi parody. It's missing the first few seconds. It mimics the Jenner ad.

I guess I'm startled at how many people didn't know who Bruce Jenner was, him winning the decathlon gold is one of my strongest childhood memories. Seeing him now, I just...

Yep. My Mrs watches "Keeping up...." Jenner has become unrecognizable. If the rumors are true, here comes the next Kardashian show.

I'm still trying to process it.

The age thing is what throws me.

Also, considering his big accomplishment was based on his body, it's that much "stranger" he's been unhappy with it this whole time.

And kinda sad, too. That's a loooong time to be unhappy.

The added weirdness is in my callow youth, we used to call butchy lesbians "Bruce".

It makes me wonder if it's a stunt. If I understand the protocol correctly, a year living as the "other gender" along with counciling is required before anything moves ahead.

Not knowing nor not caring who Bruce Jenner is, looking at the accident scene, it is surprising because that is a Lexus LS, which is the largest and safest Lexus sedan money can buy. Unfortunately, it did hit what appears to be a Hummer H2 (?), and the driver of the Lexus died. Based on the picture, it appears, from a safety standpoint, that the Lexus did well in maintaining a safe enclosure around the driver, but I think that age age of the driver, a 69 year old woman, may have played a material impact int he death of herself. Very tragic.

The Hummer was also presumably driving at speed.

Doesn't look like a cig.

Oh, and I wasn't trying to disparage transgenders, I know that's an incredibly difficult situation for them to deal with. It's just a little jarring in his case, given that he always seemed like such a masculine person when he was an athlete.

Ok, that's a bit more Prince Valiant or whatever the name is. But I always thought his facial features made him more feminine.

big lamb chop sideburns = masculine, everyone had a bowl cut back then. Not to mention him being like the king of exposed chest hair.

Right, and when you have feminine features, you probably should stay away from feminine hairstyles unless...

There's even an episode of Family Guy where Stewie comments Lois has Bruce Jenner hair, which I something I always thought since day one.

I dunno guys, I won't say this often, but this guy going gender reassignment was the least surprising thing to me. Maybe I saw something no one else did.

I very much doubt that. I just remember his hair bothered the hell out of me as a kid. It reminded me of a Hanna-Barbara cartoon

I saw a picture of Caitlyn hanging out with Chaz Bono. While I wasn't looking he's gone well beyond passing.

I get the impression they dropped manslaughter because they feel that's a tough sell in a vehicular accident if it wasn't caused by a moving violation.

She's been hit with a civil suit.
