Earlier today, the server that hosts teamstats crashed. I have the box back up, but the crash caused a significant amount of database corruption, so I've turned off all access to the server until the repairs are complete.
I'll post again when repairs are done.

There will be further interruptions today and tonight. The box has crashed a couple more times, which is doing unhealthy things to the data. More than the automated repair scripts can handle apparently.

I have data repairs to do, and Scott needs to run hardware tests.

Enough repairs for one night. A whole mess of teams on multiple projects got sent back for reprocessing.

It also appears that teamstats had a meltdown on September 5, but I didn't go back to fix that time period. Not tonight anyway.

It seems like the stats have not been refreshed for the better part of a week. Is this still a remnant of the earlier meltdown or is something else going on?

cheers,

I get "No such file. (404)" when I try to join macnn team or get instructions for setting up various clients. I am trying to get out of fold@home as my computers need several weeks for one unit...

I don't know what the regular update times are, but the Seti page has not been updated for at least 2 days now. Not complaining here, it is just that I am getting into the top 100 and I don't want to miss any of it ;-)

cheers,

Ryondaahl

it's ... um, working on auto again. really, this time. an error remained in the shell script, which only affected three teams, including MacNN. all the others were ok after the last fix, and the three affected teams would run manually. just not from the cronned shell script.

The box either crashed or Scott has commenced his ISP move/LAN reconfig. I can reach box#2, but can't get into the main server which has the DB and the web side of things.

Not my fault this time.

I said I'd be out of town this weekend.
Server kernel panicked. No one left me a voicemail letting me know it went down, so I had no idea. (Not that it would have helped much since there wasn't really cell phone reception) Oh well. It's in the process of fscking now.

If it's any consolation, I managed to bring down about 8 feet of tree branches on my head
No more wilderness for me for a while.

Went down Friday afternoon. No idea why, as usual.
It's back now.

Scott, the stats are back up, Thanx! However, they have not updated in over two days. Is this something that time will cure (ie., catching up slowly) or does this require the magical intervention of ScottTheKing?
