Backup solutions to a far away computer ?

So like I need to set up a system to backup files from other computers to a main backup computer further away, and for windows as well.. just having an external harddrive will not do in this case.

Ideas? Or is this a big IT kinda question ?

Retrospect for Mac can backup your Mac (plus other Mac or Windows machines on your local network) to a remote FTP server:
