I just built a pc for gaming and want to run rc5 on it when im not using it but the client keeps crashing after working for 5-10 minutes. Anyone know why that would happen? I'm running windows xp professional.

Side note: my athlon xp 1.47GHz cant TOUCH my G4 867MHz in rc5.

I also have an Athlon XP 1.47Ghz and i'm running Win XP Pro, and I've had no problems. Are you running the latest version of the DNet client? Are you running the DOS app or the proper text-only Windows app?

I uninstalled it and went back to distributed.net and saw that the installer version I first dl'ed is older than the zipped up version so I grabbed the zipped version and it works fine now. Thanks for your help.

That's really odd that the .exe is so much older than the .zip. I guess they're getting lazy. I dl'ed the .zip for simplicity, I didn't even look at the .exe, lucky me.
