I'm looking for a good bar code scanner for some projects I've got at work. I don't want to blow the bank on one, but it has to not give me any headaches, since I've got enough of those already.
I'm talking plug and play, super easy, etc.

Here at work we use a software barcode scanner. It's for graphic design to make sure the barcode is reading correctly for printing purposes. I don't know if that's what you were talking about or not but, it's called Fine Line DVT (Digital Varification Tool). It's compatible with Illustrator CS and CS2.
