Well, I'm looking at a ten-hour flight tomorrow morning, and in preparation have bought and downloaded 3 audio books from audible.com. I've never "listened" to a book before, so I'm looking forward to giving it a try. Funny, carrying around my entire music collection and some books on a little iPod. Guess the novelty of technology never wears off on me.

It's pretty nifty. Be sure to grab that freebie Robin Williams interview with John Lasseter (sp?). It starts off a little bland, but Williams (as always) loses his sanity towards the end of it.

I haven't bought an iPod yet...it's just a matter of time. Let us know how your audible.com book experience turned out.

Don't need an iPod to use audible. FYI.

Started listening to books myself. I think audible has a good thing going. Options are always nice.
...Now I listen while I drive, work out, etc.

I've always been apprehensive about audible books. I don't know there's nothing quite like a hardcover, nicely bound book. The smell and feeling of the paper. It just can't be matched with bits running through a cable. I guess I just like killing trees But tell us how it is xi_hyperon, I might just try it out once I get my iPod (if ever).
