Hi,

since a few days I can't use the terminal anymore. Whenever I start the app only a tiny window opens up, which is not much larger than the "close" window-widget.

I can't even get to maximise widget, nor can the window be set to a different size in options or via any of the menus. Throwing away the preference file did not change this behaviour, nor did replacing the whole app.

Then I wrote an apple-script that tells Terminal to resize its window. It did that, but nothing was visible in this window (just plain white). Trying to resize it by hand would result in a collapse again.

Funny thing is, Terminal is still functional, i.E. I can use it normally as long as I don't need to see any of the written output.

Anyone ever had the same problem?

PS: I use OSX Version 10.3.7 on a G4/350.

I did a search for that and it came up with no results.

I have got to admit, the MacNN Forums are still the best place to go, when you have a technical problem. Great community, guys!

Me no smart - me just read lots!

Fonts seem to be a stumbling block of OSX. Fsck with the wrong ones and you cripple your system......but glad to hear it worked.
