Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of software that would be able to measure the speed of various different aspects of computer hardware and software... Say to be able to measure usb, firewire 400, firewire 800 transfer speeds, get accurate hard disk read/write times, as well as for software to measure say frame rates of game and processor usage. It has to be accurate.
I know in windows what id use would be SiSoft, PCMark, and HDTach to name a few but i've had lots of trouble finding this kind of software for mac.
THanks!

The only comprehensive benchmarking software freely available for the Mac is xbench, which aspsychomonkey pointed you to. It's not a very accurate piece of software, however.

Looks on BareFeats.com to see what software they use for their benchmarks.
