They're just going through a rough patch. When the revised chassis turns up they may be back on form.
P.S David Coulthard is rubbish

B-Spec McLaren will be on track after the European GP. Totally revised chassis apparently.

They have spent too long building their wind tunnel, new control centre, new HQ design/refurbishment, Mercedes SLR, etc etc and not enough time on what made them. The cars.
I am no fan of Coulthard, but Raikkonen is quick if not consistent. The car is well off the pace.
Also, these things are cyclic. Ferrari was once good, then bad, then good again, same for Williams and McLaren. These changes happen. Give it a few years and they will be back.

What's the point anymore? The SLR is basically the perfect car (from what I have read about it anyway). They should just keep doing projects for other companies like that.

The point is that the primary purpose of the McLaren Group is to win Grand Prixs. They have taken their eye off the ball and done these other little stupid projects and the crown jewel of their operation, McLaren Racing, is suffering hugely.

I voted that you need the car and driver working in sync.

You do need good drivers and a good car to get results. McLaren have good drivers though. Kimi's a rising star, and DC's pretty good still, even though his one lap qualifying is awful. Their problem is that the car and engine are bloody awful. They're talking about debuting the new car at Silverstone, which would be cool, as I'm going this year!
The rumour doing the rounds at the moment is that Montoya's management are doing the rounds trying to get him a better drive for next year. I don't think they'll find it easy to get out of the McLaren contract though (unless there's a performance clause in it).
