I'd be happy with a modest bump of the unibody macbooks so that they are faster than the white one again and a cheaper data plan from ATT for the iphone (not that Apple can give me this). Even a reasonable family iphone plan would be nice.

Anything else is just gravy.

There were some murmurs of cheaper iPhone plans coming with the next round of hardware, but none of the good sources seemed really sure of them. But it seems like a possibility, especially with slow economy and with all the Pre reviews mentioning Sprint's better deal for unlimited everything.

I'd bet a few bucks that if it's not announced at the keynote, a unibody MacBook update will happen within 2 weeks.

I know it's coming I just don't want to have to wait until the back to school promo is almost over for them to do it. After 5 years of my 14" ibook I am finally ready for an upgrade.

Well, yeah, it'll have to be before September, given that the $999 white one is now faster than the $1299 unibody. That can't last long. Also, I don't think the unibody models have been bumped at all since October, and 11 months between updates would be pretty unusual for this line.

Hells no. I'm pumped. I put off buying an iPhone for two long hard years now. Whatever they release today will be what I get, so I'm psyched.

I heard they're discontinuing the iPhone and leaving while they're on top.

No, they aren't discontinuing it voluntarily. I heard Mac is going out of business.

I wonder if they'll announce a stereo Bluetooth headset, what with the 3.0 software's support for A2DP on 3G and newer hardware. The fact that they discontinued the original mono headset could mean that they're about to replace it something fancier, but it might also mean that they'll just leave that slice of the accessory market to existing players.

I kinda hope it's the former. The market for stereo headsets seems less crowded than mono ones, and it seems like something Apple could do well. What I'd really like to see is a headset that can work over A2DP or connect to the 3.5" jack with a cable, to preserve battery life when necessary.

I'm already happy with the feature set of the 3G iPhone, so all I'm really hoping for is that they don't do anything stupid.

What I really want more than anything is a cheaper data plan to go with it.

Honesty, I'm just curious for any news on those tablet rumors. Oh, and maybe a firm release date for Snow Leopard and iPhone OS 3.0.

Edit: And it wouldn't hurt to see a healthy Steve.

The speakerphone could be 10 times louder so that I don't always need to set it at the max volume.

(free) Tethering would be awesome as well.

Why does the iCal icon in the Grand Central banner say Jun 19 instead of 17?

Macrumors.com pointed that out. I would say maybe it's Snow Leopard's release date, but have they ever had that short a window between the release-date announcement and the date itself?

No, I don't think so. That's really quick. Maybe a ship date of new iPhones, but then why are they taking them out of stores? Mine doesn't have any on the floor now. And why would it be on an OS X banner?

Doesn't Apple release a new laptop every year with a fantastic new battery that lasts up to seven hours?

Pretty impressive, Apple's getting really serious about competing again. Maybe we have M$ to thank for this much more complete laptop lineup. Now all we need is for M$ to debut "desktop hunters."

Price drops on every metal MacBook for that matter. $1499 MacBook Air and $1199 13" MacBook (newly-)Pro w/backlit kb and FW800 are both really tempting.

I really need perspective on those... before and after.

Also, sounds like this guy is rocking the keynote, compared to that dry stuff back in January, I think.

It seems a bit of a bummer that they swapped the ExpressCard slot in the 15" for SD. I wonder if they have market research showing that the former wasn't used much…

I would say an SD slot is instantly more useful for a very large multitude of customers.

I can't believe the notebook prices, so much for M$ notebook' ad campaign. Used PowerBook prices are going to fall through the basement too, if they hadn't already.

I like how Apple "decided" to make OpenCL an open standard. It wouldn't have been much use if the graphics card manufacturers didn't support it, would it?
