I have recently downloaded the newest version of panther. I can startup on disk one but once it begins to install, it gets to 98% of " Writing Files" and stops, then says an error occured. Do i need to partition my drive? im installing it on a second hard drive which is a 150gb Maxtor that is empty. I am currently running Jaguar on my primary drive.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Sounds like a corrupt image.

Very General Hint (nothing Panther-specific): When using Carracho or Hotline, a disk image MUST be downloaded ENTIRELY from a single server, even if it is named the exact same on a different server. Else, the image will be corrupt.

If you download from BitTorrent, this shouldn't happen. If you did, perhaps the burn got messed up.

What's up with all the Panther support threads popping up? Seriously, if you're gonna dabble in the pirate trade, then you should be wise enough to look at the top of the forum and notice that "All Panther Support Threads WILL BE LOCKED!". Sorry, it just irritates me when people don't read.
