Hey all-
I've got a fourth gen. 20GB iPod that's having some issues syncing with iTunes. When I make an on-the-go playlist it won't sync up correctly with iTunes. The right number of songs end up in the iTunes playlist, but the songs are wrong. I just wiped out the iPod software and restored to no avail. This happens also when I save a playlist on the iPod. I can't figure out if the problem is with iTunes or the iPod. Any ideas? Thanks for all the help!

Are you syncing within 24 hours of creating the on-the-go playlist? For an autosync, it should create a new playlist called On-The-Go Playlist, On-The-Go Playlist 1, etc.

I've tried it both ways. I made a playlist on my trip over the weekend and when I synced it up with the computer a lot of the songs were not the ones that I'd put on the list. I re-created the playlist in iTunes then synced it with the iPod and it showed up correctly. So, I made an on-the-go playlist of the new playlist, and when it synced it was all wrong again. I can't figure it out.

You have the latest version of iPod software?

You could try reformatting it and resycing from the get-go.
