Story

It was bound to happen sooner or later that Simpson would be arrested again. The entire country (especially down here in South Florida) has been waiting for that guy to make one mistake so that they could string him up.

All I can say is if he hadn't been standing on the curb he wouldn't have gotten thrown under the bus.

He should've known better.

Is that a metaphor for "It's probably a bad idea to cut off your wife's head"?

OJ is now realizing he didn't really get away with anything. If he hasn't, he one day will.

Maybe he had a lead that the real killers were not on South Florida golf courses but in Vegas hotels and decided to do some Naked Gun police actioning on the scene.

Yeah. I saw him leaping over a Hertz car in front of the hotel also.

Saw there's no bail this morning. Good for them.

No Bail?! What are the police thinking?! OJ is going to have a very hard time trying to find the real robbers if he is stuck in jail...

Yeah I heard that. I think this is the first time the public has heard that version of OJ.

Scary. The guy needs to be behind bars. I know we laugh, and make jokes of the matter. But what if he ends up taking another life? It's not like he isn't capable. Or thinks he can't get away with it.

He don't have Johnny Cochran anymore though. Not that I think he won the thing for OJ. I just think the prosecution did a bad job. And then the police force screwed things up because of their shenanigans.

this could have been avoided IF he'd been capped by the cops as he was going down the interstate. We wouldn't have had to listen to the hideous lawyers. We would have been spared listening to the experts, and police and the god awful reporters. We would have been spared the riots too. Now this...

Yeah, the fact that Rodney King was acting like a guilty mofo totally turned people against him.

I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that America is grateful that you're not in charge, as you obviously have no grasp whatsoever of the concept of innocent until proven guilty.

The "idiots for jurors" doesn't have anything to do with it. Just because you don't happen to agree with the verdict (and I don't either, BTW), doesn't change the facts. I'm just as absolutely certain that, if you happened to be wrongly accused of a crime (which happens far too frequently), and you were "capped" by the police before you had a chance to prove your innocence, your family would be correctly outraged. Most of the time the system works, but occasionally it doesn't, and that's the price we pay for giving people a chance to prove their innocence, rather than relying on vigilante justice, which does nothing except feed the insecure egos of 12 year olds.

In this case, however, the family would probably dance in the streets.

I remember a little over a year ago where he didn't like the fact that someone was too close to him in traffic and he parked his car and went up to the car and ripped his glasses off of his face and stomped on them or something like that.

OJ needs to be in a good tough prison.

Maybe he and Scott Peterson can share a cell?

there were problems in the streets/communities after the verdict. while not full on riots like "the beating" or '67, it was still considered riots*.

*altercations would be a better word. sorry. so yeah, then...no riots.

I don't even remember there being altercations when the OJ verdict was announced.

Other than a bunch of people being pissed off that someone got away with murder.

A bunch of zealots on this board. Can't wait to see the same reaction on the faces when he is again acquitted or when these silly charges gets tossed out of court.

This isn't a re-trial of the murder case, so get over it already.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the charges are going to be tossed. He's on tape, and there are several other people involved this time. He's unlikely to be so lucky this time around.

Yes, but several of the people there have very conflicting stories. A couple of them claim there were no guns.

The courts will sort it out. He got lucky once, it could happen again.

Maybe. Except there aren't any gloves that don't fit this time. What's his excuse this time? He was there with a gun, allegedly. What's he going to say...that he is making the movie The Naked Gun 34 and 1/2: Live from Vegas?
