My dad is scared to upgrade to 9.0, since going to 8.6 killed some of his apps (virtual pc, scanner software, etc.) on his rev b imac. However, he keeps whining about wanting a dedicated music player for mp3s and such, so I'd like him to have iTunes.

Anybody using iTunes on OS8.6? Know of any hacks?

Well, iTunes 1.x can be hacked to run on Mac OS 8.6, but iTunes 2.0.x cannot, because it requires routines not found in 8.6

The hack can be found at:

Hope this helps.
