Can dock be transparent?

Is there any way that the dock could be set transparent?

I know he already is see-through but the applications icons are not. So, is this possible?

Cleardock gets you halfway there. You can get rid of the background, but the transparency of the icons can not be set, IIRC. And TinkerTool lets you see hidden applications as translucent icons.

You can drop them a mail and see if they'd be interested in this feature.
