I bought it about a month ago. I am not using it under Mac OS 9 though (but it does come with an appropriate driver). It works great in Mac OS X 10.3.6 (my printer is connected to AirPort Extreme Base Station).
The output quality is excellent, noticeably better than predecessor (1150/1300). Pages print quickly and fairly quiet. And I really dig the design (looks much nicer and smaller in person). My only complaints are (1) multifunction sheet feeder, which accepts only 1 sheet at a time; (2) that it does not accept high capacity toner than higher-end sibling, 1320, accepts; and (3) it is pricier than competitors.
