I recorded with SnapzProx, and I have the full wwdc video on my disk. But it's 12 GB HDV format video, and I can't convert it to any usable format, because my Quicktime always send this error message, after 15 min...

Have you tried something like FFmpeg or something else?

I'm travelling on business. 1) I don't have it installed, 2) My company has a policy against downloading and using it, 3) I have no idea how it works or even where to get it.

All of which I can resolve when I get home in about 2.5 - 3 weeks, but in the meantime I'd like to watch the video. :-)

If you have an ftp server or an iDisk I'd be more than happy to send it to you.

What's the size of this new one? 163.5 MB?

Ok, this is just silly. Does no one have a hard copy of the keynote? I mean to where I could just right click and select "Guardar enlace como..." and have the whole damned thing? Cause I don't know what it is, but QT7 for Windows is seriously screwed up. And the torrent site requires an acoount.

EDIT: Nevermind, got the torrent to work. Thanks.

The video is perfect, but the audio track has been lowered from 128kbps 44.1khz AAC to 48kbps 32khz AAC

Is there anyway someone could extract the audio from the real audio stream?

Anyway I can't believe this thing is basically the quality of a Divx movie but is only 350kbps!!

I dunno why but the video doesn't seem to want to play well on my iBook 700.

The video skips every 2 secs.

On my 12" PB 867 it will only play properly if I quit everything and dedicate my CPU to playing the QT movie.

H.264 is a tough codec for relatively older Macs if it's a large dimensioned video clip or a high bitrate, like 640 width or 1Mbps or more..

Ya, it's not bad, though it has real problems with dark areas. The black around Steve gets really choppy 'n ugly lookin'. Still, this is the best-looking keynote video I've seen.

Thanks for the post Mac Write. Runs fine on a PB 12" Rev B connected to a 4 Mbps cable modem.

I've been waiting for Apple to stream in higher quality for awhile now. This is pretty close to SDTV, but I see poor anti-aliasing.

I should mention that moving the slider during the broadcast stream also causes jitter.

Ah well. And I'd hoped my G3 700 could last me at least a year more till the Intel Macs start shipping out...

The new iBooks are so nice I'd have no problem buying one now and not waiting for the Intel based ones. (Heck, you'll want a new one in 2-3 years anyway ... enough time for the Intels to come out *and* get the bugs out of them! Meanwhile you'd be using a mature product that works well.)

Well that's true, but I'm definitely not getting a new Mac anytime soon.

By then I hope to get at least a Powerbook with a Superdrive.

It was choppy here as well, on a DP2.0 G5. Maybe servers were real busy. But after trying again 4 times, I got to see it. It stutters on some places, and distorts the image, but I got the idea of the keynote.

It's odd; the official stream and the BT'd stream are the same, time-code-wise, but the BT'd version doesn't handle blacks anywhere near as well as the official one. The official stream looks like a bloody DVD, but the BT'd one has real problems with dark areas.

Oh well; still looks darn fine.
