Any suggestions for upgrading my iMac 24 Intel from OSX 10.4.11 to Leopard. I do not want to change my network settings, favorite sites, and settings in Parallels which has Windows XP installed for a few programs not available on Mac.

Thanks for any help?
Switcher and damn glad...with iMac and PB who would not be happy!

You can try a straight upgrade install. Just restart with the Leopard disc and follow the standard installation.

This is how I upgraded both my aluminum iMac and my MBP. Worked fine, kept everything I wanted, and didn't even hiccup.

Most of the time, you should *not* do this. Archive & install gives you a nice new clean system while the straight upgrade can potentially bring over problems. And with archive & install, you can always go back to the previous system folder to get any files that may not have transferred over (some preferences).

Before you run the leopard update, get yourself a copy of the 10.5.4 combo update, and run that ASAP after installing leopard. When the combo update has been applied, run software update again and let it do it's thing.
