Let's go around the room...

Hello, my name is MrsLarry, and I'm a TV addict.
Currently my drug is House, with LOST as a close runner-up.

What's yours?

My list is rather longer because I am really sick. I always loved TV since I was a kid so here it is.

Sunday: West Wing

Monday: Medium and 24

Tuesday: Miami Ink, Amazing Race (when it is on), House, Commander in Chief (when House is not on)

Wednesday: E-Ring, Criminal Minds, Law and Order

Thursday: Not much for now.

Friday: Ghost Whisperer and Injustice

I loved MI-5 but they are not showing it anymore, I think it is really mean.

Currently: ER (10), Stargate SG-1 (8), Enterprise (4), Desperate Housewives (2).
That's all that's on at the moment which is fresh.

If you like enterpise you should try BSG. I thought Star Trek was good until I watched the first season of BSG.

Same here man. I used to scoff at SCI-FI that wasn't Star Trek, that is until I gave in and started watching Battlestar. Now I will conceed that no Star Trek series ever can compare to Battlestar. 'Course, that may just be b/c I haven't seen a good Trek series in a long effin time.

Enterprise had such potential, but instead of taking the sort of gritty style of Battlestar, they chose to make lame shows about male crew members getting impregnated by hot alien chics, and growing tits on their arms.

If trek ever does come back, it better be dark and dirty. I think SC-FI audiences have matured past the no-wrinkles-polished-shoes style that Trek has always kinda been. I wanna see a future Trek where Earth is destroyed by human-like Borg, and there are only a hand full of survivors, and... oh wait.

I still the original Star Trek was the coolest sci-fi show of all time, even though many of its episodes were so hokey.

BSG is definitely #2 though. BTW, Ronald Moore used to write for Trek, but got P'O'd that he couldn't make anything dark and dirty, and that he couldn't kill anyone off either.

"No Star Trek series?" I beg to differ. ST:TOS was before my time so I won't make the comparison, but TNG is still one of the best scifi shows ever made. It's not as gritty as BSG, but that wasn't its premise. DS9 was also excellent. I love BSG, but no way is it better than TNG & DS9.

Voyager and Enterprise were on UPN and had to deal more with ratings issues. Voyager had a crap premise (Kirk and Picard would have been home that first episode) and was barely watchable until 7/9 got there and saved the show. Enterprise wasn't given enough of a chance; its 3rd and 4th seasons were very good, but the first two seasons were so bad that it lost most of its audience.

Yeah I can see where you're coming from. My opinions of Trek right now are slightly biased since I haven't watched a good trek series in a long long time.

The last couple of seasons of Enterprise had many good episodes, but even still the characters and subplots had been so messed up that even bringing in 2-dozen Manny Cottos wouldn't have saved things.

I am the biggest Star Trek nut there is on MacNN, trust me. BUT, I think the 2 and a half seasons of BSG is better than ALL of the star trek put together. My friends almost dropped dead on the spot when they heard me say that.

I played a drinking game with some friends where we took a shot every time House was an ass to someone, it was a fun game.

Sadly though, there is nothing on tv that I like enough not to miss. Even sunday night cartoons are good enough for me to make the effort to be home.

Another Battlestar fan here. On other days I mindlessly enjoy Surface, Invasion, and Criminal Minds. My DVR is rapidly filling up with all the Miyazaki animation showing Thursdays on Turner Classic Movies.

Unfortunately, my erratic schedule rarely allows me to watch the latest and greatest episodes of my favorite shows. But when my schedule allows, I highly enjoy:

1. Law & Order: SVU
2. Monk
3. Law & Order (Original)
4. The Daily Show/Colbert Report
5. Cold Case
6. Law & Order: Criminal Intent
7. I Love Lucy
8. All in the Family

It's not a random order, either. I tend to catch re-runs of Law & Order: SVU and Monk on USA all the time - and I usually get my "fix" when they have a marathon. I seem to have a thing for criminal shows - although Lucille Ball isn't too far behind.

I also watch Smallville, Entourage, and Prison Break. I'm still pissed they canceled Reunion. It was cheesy beyond belief, but I'm a sucker for mysteries.
