I'm looking for a slick, inexpensive, and Mac (or web based, ideally) Membership Management tool. The requirements are:

Keep track of the members
Send out e-mails when they need to reregister
Multi-user
Multi-segment (we have various donor levels [enthusiast, retail, industrial])
Have some level of analytics or a dashboard to check on the system

Any thoughts? In the old days, I would have thrown this all in a DabbleDB and have called it a day (minus a few elements), but I'm just not seeing anything designed specifically for the net or the Mac that is slick as well.

Thoughts?

I thought about that, but it almost seems like overkill. Ideally, it would be a system used by other nonprofits or small businesses. I keep poking around, but there don't seem to be many beyond the major players and most of them are stuck in the late 1990s regarding how their programs function on the internet.

I would love to see a company like campaign monitor take on this challenge.

A quick google search for nonprofit crm comes up with several results.

I would try looking at the FileMaker website for a developer in your area, and make an appt. to see what it would cost to produce a database that does everything you want. They might already have something that another nonprofit is using. If you feel comfortable designing a database yourself, you can download a FileMaker trial for 30 days. Then there’s FileMaker Bento.
