A child has been injured by a leaking novelty iPhone 5c case, with the contents burning the nine-year-old victim's leg. Olivia Retter acquired the case from store chain New Look in the United Kingdom for £6 ($8.70), with it featuring a liquid and glitter-filled snow globe design, but after accidentally sleeping on it a few days after purchase, the case leaked and caused chemical burns to the child's skin in the shape of the case itself.

Doctors have advised the child's mother that it was a severe chemical burn and it will most likely be a permanent scar, reports the Daily Mail. Karly, the mother, has complained to the store but has yet to receive a response, and claims there isn't a safety warning on the case at all about the chemicals it contains. "Imagine if it had leaked when Olivia was on the phone or holding it to her face – it could have gone on her face or her eyes."

New Look claims it has spoken to the customer, has instructed stores to pull the case from sale, and has started an investigation with the supplier.

Google creates Street View site for world's largest model railway

Google has made it possible to explore the world's largest model railway in Street View. The Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg has become the latest unusual location to be added to Street View, including 13,000 kilometers (8,000 miles) of track and featuring over 200,000 figurines, an airport, and areas modeled after German provinces and other famous locations around the world.

According to the Google Maps blog, the search giant collaborated with Ubilabs to create miniature vehicles that could travel around the tracks and roads of the model railway's automated transit system. Small cameras were used on the vehicles, in order to give a "street level" view of the streets and landscape.

It must be important for clicks to say that it was an iPHONE CASE as if it is something about Apple to get attention. Pitiful click baiting.

It wasn't a Samsung case, or made by Apple, or any of that, it was an iPhone 5c novelty case.

More info is better than less.

Settle down.

I never trust those middle isle vendors selling iPhone cases or any of those iCase mall stores. I would rather wrap my iPhone with tin foil with bubble wrap in it than those guys. Or stuff my iPhone inside sandwich bag with bubble wrap inside (totally water proof).

In the second picture, at the very bottom. A red car has had a most unusual traffic accident with the street light pole.
