Yep, that time has come again, I have to leave to return some other time. I promise not to make it another year again - that was just too weird. Might be a while though.

So, I leave you with this thought -

When your time comes, and you know it is nigh,
does that give you the right, to give up and die,
do you follow your instincts to the end of the road,
or just follow your woman, wherever she goes.

Do you fall quietly to the night,
Do you slink out of sight,
Or do you use twenty pounds of semtex,
and pack it quite tight,
around the neck of your nearest and dearest,
and then blow her head into space...

(Didn't quite have the effect I wanted...)

Instead, I feel I should just quote a song from my youth - a song that I think a lot of people these days have forgotten.
I give you - So What? by Ministry

"So what, its your problem to learn to live with
Destroy us, or make us saints
We dont care, its not our fault that we were born too late
A screaming headache on the brow of the state
Killing time is appropriate
To make a mess and **** all the rest, we say, we say
So what? so what?

Now I know what is right
Ill kill them all if I like
Im a time bomb inside
No one listens to reason,
Its too late and Im ready to fight!
So what? now Im ready to fight!"

Kindly use this thread to post all your inane ramblings about how cool some song lyrics are, or quotes from films, or just analyse your sphincter for a while.

And like that, he was gone...
Hark, I hear a robin sig'ing in the trees!
Nae, there is no sog to be sug,
or am I wrog? Why can't I sig?

Walking across the sitting-room, I turn the television off.
Sitting beside you, I look into your eyes.
As the sound of motor cars fades in the night time,
I swear I saw your face change, it didn't seem quite right.
...And it's hello babe with your guardian eyes so blue
Hey my baby don't you know our love is true.

Dogma, gonna miss ya. Make sure to drop in whenever you can.

I can remember... a place I used to go
Chrysanthemums of white, they seemed so beautiful
I can remember
I searched for the amaranth
I'd shut my eyes to see

Oh, how I smiled then, so near the cherished ones
I knew they would appear... saw not a single one
Oh, how I smiled then... waiting so patiently
I'd make a wish and bleed...

While I waited... I was wasting away
While I waited... I was wasting away

I can remember... dreamt them so vividly
Soft creatures draped in white, light kisses gracing me
I can remember... when I first realised
Dreams were the only place to see them

While I waited... I was wasting away
While I waited... I was wasting away
While I waited... I was wasting away

Hope was wasting away
Faith was wasting away
I was wasting away

Never, never wanted this
Always wanted to believe
Never, never wanted this
(How could I have become)

Never, never wanted this
From the start I'd been decieved
Never, never wanted this
(How could I have become)

Never, never wanted this
Always wanted to believe
Never, never wanted this... no

Never, never wanted this
From the start I'd been decieved
Never, never wanted this... no

Inside a crumbling effigy
(But you promised)
So dies all innocence
(But you promised me)

While I waited... I was wasting away
While I waited... I was wasting away
While I waited... I was wasting away

Hope was wasting away
Faith was wasting away
I was wasting away

Eh, I just happened to be listening to this song.

AFI - The Great Disappointment.

Key to Her Ferrari

And then I saw her...
she was a bright red '64 GTO with fins
and gills like some giant piranha fish,
some obscene phallic symbol on wheels...
little rivers of anticipation ran down my inseam
as I kicked those five hundred Italian horses into life
and left reality behind me:
fifty, sixty, seventy miles an hour...
my hand slipped inside the belt of my trousers
as we hit eighty, ninety miles an hour...
and as we passed the magic 100 my love exploded
all over her bright pink leather interior...

And at that moment...

I thought of my mother.

FACE ACHE with the new sig!!!!

"Yoo-hoo! Mishter early bird! How about a nice tasty vorm on a schtick!"

I. LOVE. That. Movie. I only saw it for the first time two weeks ago. Of course, I have seen it 68 time since, what being the daddy of a two year old and all. I'm not a big prayer, but I really have to say this: Thank GOD she loves Pixar flicks. I don't think I could handle 75 viewings of Snow White or The Little Mermaid.
Nemo cannot arrive quickly enough on DVD.

Changing my sig. Now.

I'm going to pull your head off because I don't like your head.

Yeah I'm at home all day with Mr Three and Little Miss One so I know those Pixar flicks off by heart. And Jimmy Neutron and Shrek and Dumbo...

Hey Dumbo has a scene where the little elephant gets falling over drunk. Wouldn't get made these days. No-no-no. And the voice of the stork is the voice of Winnie the Pooh. And the voice of Shaggy from Scooby Doo is Casey Kasem. WTF?!

Oops my train of thought just missed a station.

"Oh Perithian Fate be kind
In the rumbling and trundling rickshaw of Time,
Hooked by the heart to the kingfisher's line.
I will set my one eye for the shores of the blind."

Come back soon, Dogma.

I am the archer, and my eyes yearn after the unsullied sight.
Born of the dark waters of the daughters of night,
Dancing without movement after the clear light...

What's it all about, Alfie?
Is it just for the moment we live?
What's it all about when you sort it out, Alfie?
Are we meant to take more than we give
or are we meant to be kind?
And if only fools are kind, Alfie,
then I guess it's wise to be cruel.
And if life belongs only to the strong, Alfie,
what will you lend on an old golden rule?
As sure as I believe there's a heaven above, Alfie,
I know there's something much more,
something even non-believers can believe in.
I believe in love, Alfie.
Without true love we just exist, Alfie.
Until you find the love you've missed you're nothing, Alfie.
When you walk let your heart lead the way
and you'll find love any day, Alfie, Alfie.

Maybe not so long as anticipated, but a month without any e-mail and stuff definitely does feel weird, kinda like having a cigarette after a week without - or a really nice bar of chocolate.

Anyway, back online, living in England, having worked a week at Orange, typing on a PC (again), in the middle of nowhere, with (guess what?) a large glass of cold Guinness in my hand. (some things will never change).

So, this is my second thousandth post? Who'd a thunk it? I welcome back the green stars, and finish the post of with a little more reflective quote from one of my favourite bands - dEus...

"My little dreamone, you O. K.?
I'm thinking about you everyday
along with your smile, I took my belongings
along with the sunshine, I went away
There is a space here, there is a void
I need to find, a little more time gimme time
Of all of the f**kups that I do
I've saved up the best one for you
heaven and moonshine, you gotta be kidding
you wanted to give it a try and I didn't
I never wanted to be looking back
I need to find a little more insight gimme insight
I'm getting better everyday
I just don't care what they say
people are talking, they were talking before
they don't even know who we are anymore
I never wanted to be looking back
I need to find, some peace of mind gimme peace of mind"
Hark, I hear a robin sig'ing in the trees!
