Double bass is great on the V-Compact, it's designed for double bass response. My kit is the best investment I've ever made, haha!

The iControl is great. When in the middle of playing, the less you have to mouse around the better. What kind of kit do you have?

What you see is what I use at this point. I'm pretty bare bones actually, though I'm getting an M-Audio Ozone soon that will give me more options.
I don't record the guitars in my current band, we're leaving that up to our engineer in the local campus studio

Here is my setup, not quite as luxurious as many of the others on here but its all mine. Rev D PB, The Mouse BT, Soundsticks II, and a crappy Dell 15" CRT monitor. In need of a real desk ha.
Anyone watch Entourage here? Heh if so you will understand it, if not you should check it out, Jermey Piven is the man. Modded Ipod mini
Here is my PB logo mod. This picture really does not do it justice, the color when lit up looks more like the "w" Word Icon. I wanted to do it dark red but it didnt look right when lit up so I chose blue instead.
Here it is when it is off, it looks like a dark/navy blue.

but for an apple product bigger is better in terms of performance... just like the imac 20" and the imac 17"... the 15" is definitely way better than 12"...

Maybe within the same product generation, but he may have traded a first generation 15" for a new 12". In any case, he feels that it's an upgrade, so who are you to say otherwise?

Well, yes to me this was an upgrade going from a 15" to a 12"... i like the portability of the 12" PB
plus it got a faster CPU, etc.

Actually its the Dell 2405FPW... I LOVE IT! Can't beat the deal! It also functions as a HD television... I just hook it up to a cable box! :-) There are component inputs in the rear!

b33faroni: was the mod to your PB apple tough? looks spiffy and considering the idea of doing something similar, but not sure the difficulty rating on something like that. also, is that done on the inside of the LCD or a mod done to the outside panel?
thanks!

Thanks zan, im liking the new look of it too. It was harder then I thought it was going to be...but after going thru and finding what didnt work it was not that hard. Just need ballhead hex wrenches, and a putty knife (yes, I didnt think it would work either but its a must) to pry the back of the lcd off the front. Then its simple from there, just put whatever you want underneath the logo and snap it all back on. If you want a detailed description just PM me, ill tell ya step by step n give u some links that helped me. But if ur not that handy, or never took apart a computer before I would recommend against it.

thanks b33faroni. as much fun as it would be to change my logo color....i think my wife would have my head (or worse) if i were to do that to my MBP after it gets here. i had hoped it wouldn't require removing the cover.
check your PMs?

I teach with my PB, and if I need to access any files I can do it over the network.
All in all, there is the mini (1.42ghz/80GB/Combo), the 17" NEC MultiSync, a 40GB 3G iPod (I have just upgraded to a 30GB 5G iPod), a 40GB Firelite FW drive, and a Belkin FW/USB2 hub for the mini. Airport Base Station Extreme, MS Wireless mouse and Apple Pro keyboard round it out.

Hi All! New here, been reading many posts since purchasing my PB 12" last July. I love it!! Moved from an old PC which is now a big grey paperweight under my desk. Had to share my new purchases, a Dell 2005FPW and an iCurve. Both are great, and so much better than my old setup (I cleaned a little too). Just wanted to thank you all for making me jealous enough to go out and buy new toys

One thing I like about Heavy Metal (especially during the 70s and 80s) was that the Drummer often competed with the lead for popularity.
Now it seems like the drummer is just kinda the guy in the back.
So here's a funny joke:
Q: What do you call a person who hangs out with the band all day?
A: The drummer.
