Watch the video first: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QA49v4CgSwM

So the question is, did the reporter get too aggressive? I think he did, and I would bet that the other guy could sue the network for it.

He what, pushed the guy in the face a bit? I think the case would get thrown out if he did sue.

Um it looks like the reporter pushed porkers shoulder and his hand slipped to touch the face of that polite and fragile man who is twice his size.

This was all probably do to the fact that a fat, stupid, arrogant bastard was being a dick to the reporter in the first place.

Just my guess.

It certainly didn't look like an intentional slap.

It didn't look like a bitch-slap to the drunk dude's face at all. It looked to me like he was trying to push the dude out of the way, and his hand slipped and made contact with his face.

How is a reporter on live TV supposed to deal with someone like that? You've got a large, completely smashed individual who won't leave the cameraman and reporter alone. It's not like they could just ignore him - he was obviously not interested in simply walking away.
Sell or send me your vintage Mac things if you don't want them.

I don't see how he can be expected to deal with that situation, at all.

But additional personnel, however necessary, costs money.

I haven't watched the video, but I'm sure it would have gone over well with everyone here if he had used a taser instead.

It's interesting that most of you are saying that what he did was okay. He is a reporter, on live TV, and he was repeatedly pushing (physically) a guy away, and went as far as to push him away on his face. That crosses the line in my book. They should have just pulled the camera for a bit as soon as the pushing started, and then resumed once the big guy had left.

It didn't look like a slip-up to me.

lol... the broadcasting station pulled that one pretty quick! Just posted a few hours ago, and yanked already due to "copyright violation". I'm fairly sure that was not their primary concern.

Did you see the big guy who kept interfering with the shot?

This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Journal Broadcast Group, Inc. .

Awesome, I missed it.
