I have a clamshell graphite iBook running OSX 10.0.4. The audio is terrible coming out of the headphone port (no low-end). I like to use iTunes to play my music library through my stereo, but I can't handle the poor quality so I have to reboot into 9.

One solution I've heard of is to use the Griffin imic usb adapter, which is supposed to work in OSX. Has anyone had any success using this? Will 10.1 fix this?

thanks.
