This is the quality of people I expect a mattyb thread to attract.

Actually, yes, he does. According to The Fall of Reach. Though whether they have been bionicly (I know thats not a real word, but I can't find the right one...) engineered is still up in the air. Much of his body was, I just don't know how far they went...

Which is probably why comparing it to Halo and Call of Duty is idiotic.

And that's not mentioning the platform divide...

Well, its been a couple of weeks, and my skill level has gone up a couple of notches both for CoD4 and Halo3. That is my skill level when playing on the easy settings against the Xbox. On Live I am, well ... shite.

Worse than that actually. The Brain <-> Thumb communication link is faulty.

Going to have to agree with calverson on the topic of WOW.

But when it comes to the thread I don't think that either Call of Duty 4 or Halo 3 has a targeted age.

For me, Halo 3 is more enjoyable when you are playing with people in person that COD4. I think that for single player and Xbox Live, COD4 rules though. Just my two cents.

Dunno about buying games in the US or UK, but here in France, both Halo3 and CoD4 are rated 16+. I'm not entirely sure if its illegal to sell to under 16s or not.

The are M for mature in the US, which means you have to be at least 17 to buy it.

I much more enjoy CoD 4 to any HALO, but then again I am mostly playing against friends online not in the room, plus I have PS3 + Wii so my HALO play has been short lived. CoD is my game of the year, waiting for 5!!

IIRC, CoD4 for the Mac was supposed to come out in May. Then Aspyr said summer '08. On Amazon.co.uk I had sometime in August (think that it was the 15th) but now its Sept 22nd.

If it does come out on the Mac THIS FCUKING YEAR, I'll be very surprised.

One of the reasons that I bought an XBox was to avoid having to wait for Aspyr to get their act together.

With little exception, you get used to it, sadly.

When I was playing the single-player mode and learning how to do an FPS with the Xbox controller, I always had problems controlling the right and left movement - the aiming. Now I go on a complete-and-utter-pathetic-noobs server and everyone is flying / bouncing / doing double back flips over me.

Reminded me of the worst aspects of CoD2.

Ignore me, I'm just bitter due to the money that I spent on the game.
