I have received two Kernal Panics related to my bluetooth driver in the last month. Has anybody else encountered this? Here is one I received today:

I just had my first KP ever with this macbook. System is updated, no haxies, etc. Did the update last night, put it to sleep with Mail running, woke it up and started typing a reply to an email when it crashed. My panic.log seems to point to a bluetooth issue too, using an Apple Mighty Mouse:

Same here :/
I bought my MBP yesterday, and such a surprise today
First it didn't want to resume from sleep, actually I think it was running all the time and the screen didn't want to resume. Closing and opening the lid helped for the first time, for the second I did hard shut-down. When system started and loaded, I got kernel panic screen! Unbelievable! I only had it couple of times on my iBook when there was problem with AirPort chip :/

Now I don't know what's the reason: migration from iBook with Migration Assistant, today's security update or hardware!! :|

Here is panic.log dump:

Update: I have also noticed that my bluetooth mouse behaves strangely with the new MBP. Sometimes there is a noticeable delay between the cursor and the mouse movements, and it behaves like using optical mouse on colorful mouse-pad.

Yeah, the panic is pointing directly to the mouse.

Started last week (have had the macbook pro for several months now and no problems with kernel panics): now two panics last Friday, 4 panics on Saturday and had to boot it up in safe mode. Unticked all my start up items - am a great fan of 3rd party apps, so thought it might be one of those, and it seemed OK until tonight when it suddenly did it again. My panic log points to bluetooth - the only thing I have is a Mighty Mouse which I no longer use tending to prefer the track pad. Panic log below - so what is going on? Is it due to the update to 10.4.9? It seems pretty suspicious that we are all having the same problem all of a sudden.

(1) Are you all using the Bluetooth Mighty Mouse? Two of you are using them, and I'm wondering if that's a common characteristic.

(2) Do you get the panics if you have Bluetooth turned off?

I do Bluetooth sync with my Motorola RAZR and Logitech Bluetooth mouse and haven't had any problems (knock on wood)

I'm using bluetooth Logitech mouse, Apple bluetooth keyboard and Sony Ericsson T610.
I haven't had any more kernel panics since this one time.

Using the Mighy Mouse here. Just remembered something...a couple of weeks ago I enabled the option to allow bluetooth devices to wake the computer. The KP did occur after waking up the Macbook, I disabled the option and so far so good. I only enabled it because I was so used to waking up desktop computers by shaking the mouse versus hitting a key on the keyboard.

hi everyone,

my MBP has been displaying the same issues. I use a Logitech MX Laser mouse, but bluetooth is turned off. in the 6 or 7 times that my MBP has given me the restart screen, it has always been when I unplug the mouse cradle from the usb port. Hardware tests show nothing, and Apple is suggesting I try a different mouse for a while. I've had the computer for 2 months.

Hi everyone

I turned my bluetooth off last week, but today had a kernel panic which still says it is a bluetooth related issue. Can anyone shed any light on this - am getting fed up.

Try creating a new user account and see if the problem occurs using that account. If it does, then there's something askew with your user preferences.

If the problem persists, the only thing I can think of would be an archive and reinstall.
