Hi All,
I would appreciate if anyone can help me to resolve this problem. I had purchased a second hand iMac CRT G3 700 MHz. I had successfully installed the OSX 10.2. But I keep having problem to boot-up form the original IMAC Software installer CD given by the owner. On the CD did state "Hold on C Key to boot-up from CD while system staring up" But I cant start up from the CD, I need OS 9.2 to run Pagemaker 6.5C urgently as my deadline is coming!
Please teach me in anyway I can boot-up in OS 9 so that I can install OS 9 to my iMAC.
Thanks!!
Jack

I have no idea about newer Mac's since I use a Mac 7300. However, you may want to try this: Insert the Mac OS 9 CD in the drive, and restart your computer as you press and hold the "C" key. Hold the key down through the restart, and release it when the computer boots from the CD drive.

Try the following if holding down the C key doesn't work:
Insert the Boot CD into your iMac, and then open up System Preferences: Startup Disk and select the Boot CD icon. Reboot.

If the C key doesn't work, it's much easier to hold down Option during startup than to mess with the Startup Disk setting. If you hold down Option during boot, it lets you change the startup disk for that session only.
