Difference is this: The YF-22 is a prototype (Hence, the "YF" designation) As such, it is expected to be imperfect (hence the fact it is being tested).
The Swedes, well that looks like pilot error to me.
The French missile is an actual frontline, deployed weapon system.
Nice try, but I suggest you return to the drawing board.
While you're at it, see if someone will lend you a sense of humor, too.

Hey 'Bat.
They're French-Canadians.
And Sayf, you experience in the military is what?

No, SAF (Swedish AF). Ranger. Time in Bosnia&Herzegovina (UNPROFOR).
I don't have CNN.
And if you've spent enough time in the military you should know that 1) fekk ups like the above happen and 2) such fekk ups can be lifethreatening. I'm sorry but I don't find such things very funny.

Then don't bother posting in threads about it, then. No one was hurt in mine - can you say the same about yours?
Feel free to preach your sermon elsewhere, since it's looking decidedly hypocritical about now.

I was a Captain in the USAF.
I got sent to Africa instead of Bosnia.

I don't know about the pilot of the F22 but IIRC the Swedish pilot walked away a little burned and with some bruises. Couldn't believe it at the time but then he did this:

Sorry, was a bit pissed of at work today and I didn't mean to "preach". I thought it was a funny clip actually and decided to post some more military "mistakes". Which is why I posted the Swedish fekk up. I wouldn't do that if I was trying to preach.
Again, I apologise for sounding pissed off.

I finished the conscript part (enlisted?) and then signed up for the peacekeeping force. I was thinking about having that as my future career but for family reasons I couldn't.
I got sent to Africa instead of Bosnia.
I hope you had a better mandate than we did. Never seen or heard as much BS coming from politicians (from all over the world) in my life.

Yeah, those crazy Slovakians and their fighters. I hear they're all communists and are prone to eating their children.
Eating children is a political statement, as well you know.
(btw, Tunnan? could there *be* an uglier name for a fighter.. except maybe croissant.)

You're right - the French missile would never have made it out of the tube.
Simple mistake, since they are obviously speaking French.
Now pull your panties out of your crack.

They are also obviously speaking French canadian. You should know about it since you have been working along the French military so much (as per some of your earlier statements). And when you try to make fun of somebody, make sure you get your facts right, else the jokes kinda backfires...

There's a HUGE difference between what I said earlier, that I served with people from many countries and all countries.
And - NO - they are not "obviously speaking French Canadian" since there is NO such language. Sky Captain knew it because he recognized the camoflauge pattern on their uniforms.
Again, de-crack your panties.

I can't get over how cheesy the 'raptor' nickname sounds. It's just so jurassic park. They'd never have named that plane 'raptor' if it wasn't for that movie.
And those things walked like chickens.
Now the F-16 Falcon, that's a plane and *that's* a name for a plane!
(my favorite fighter)
F/A 18 a close second.
Eurofighter Typhoon a close third.
All very cool planes.

Oh yes there is! Like there is American English and British English. You couldn't hear the difference between British soldiers talking and American soldiers talking?? Reeeally...
Ey, they're both speaking English! Must all be from England then
Same with Mexican Spanish and Castillan Spanish. Those are two clearly different things. Both Spanish, so those Mexicans must be from Spain.
You just don't know the difference. Simple as that. Any French person can hear immediately if another person is speaking French or Canadian French.

A raptor refers to any sort of bird (or dinosaur) with a beak or mouth designed for eating meat, has talons, and keen eyesight. Don't think it necissarily has anything to do with a dinosaur.

Actually, it's Raptor, as in Bird of Prey (such as Eagles and Falcons - see a pattern?), not as in Velociraptor.
No, Villalobos, as far as know it alls you have me confused, I take no "Shortcuts."
Get over it, the video is funny as hell. The only one condescending here is you, actually. Already said I didn't know it, therefore wouldn't have recognized it - and I seriously doubt YOU would have, either, if not for Sky Captain's post.
As far as planes go:
F-15 Eagle
The only fighter in the history of military aviation to have never been defeated (not even once) in aerial combat.

How do you argue with a non-argument?
Can't blame you - you never had anything legitimate to contribute in the first place.
Wasn't digging anything - actually.
Actually, being Canadian, wouldn't that most likely make it British technology?
In case it was too deep for you, posting it as "Fear the Canadians" is still just as funny.

Oh, still that name came suspiciously close after jurassic park. No wonder that was the immediate connection I made. I would have been silly to name a plane after a dinosaur anyway.
