hi all, was hoping some here in the fora could advise me as to what encoding software is most reliable and glitch-free for creating media destined to playback on video iPods... doesn't matter to me whether it is OSX or Windows software, just trying to find the best solution for creating videos that will be trouble free on video iPods, i've read countless posts about audio sync issues and really need to avoid that sort of problem, the media in question would be semi-commercial in nature so we'd like to use the best tools from the beginning...

also, any opinion as to what resolutions and bitrates are most appropriate for smooth playback on the video iPod would be greatly appreciated as well, thx in advance friends for any insight or pointers..!

Right, he said that.

However, you didn't bother to mention it at all.

"NB" means "nota bene", or "note well".

And since a) these forums are Mac-centric, and b) there are several thousand people a day who use these forums as a source of information apart from you two, I figured it made sense to point it out.

I hope I have your retroactive permission to contribute here?

Also, the question was basically covered in the FAQ I linked to above, already.
