He bought a Bentley. Something tells me he's not too concerned about resale value.

I don't know. That's kind of like putting an HP sticker on an iMac. Not that I have anything against Hyundai, but it's too damn pretty for folks not to catch on.

It'd be interesting if it turned out this guy was a Hyundai dealer or VP or something.

I read elsewhere that the guy who did this does indeed own a Hyundai dealership. It's still just... wrong. But whatever, to each his own. I guess it's preferable to the hyundai dealer here that just gets on tv and screams "It's HUGE!".

I imagine he does it so he looks brand loyal.

He can always put the original (or replacement) badges back.... badging and debadging cars are not that complicated. I think many folks in Europe debadge their cars.

I think folks are more hung up on the fact that one would buy a car that can cost the same as a house in some areas... and "symbolically" turn it into one that costs less than a small deck.

My other problem is this forum now makes me consider the word WOW in capitals to mean World of Warcraft. Which makes the thread title even weirder.

It's either funny or really, really tacky, and I suspect the latter, knowing the vulgarity of Continental owners.

I'd like to re-brand my Camery with a yugo badge, but you can't find them anywhere.

Actually one of funnier things I can remember being done to a car was a few years ago I was at a stop light behind an old toyota hatchback or something, and someone had removed its name and replaced it with CAPRICE CLASSIC, only they broke off the first three letters.
