In my older mac, a Performa 630CD, it doesn't agknowledge the printer driver installation in the chooser.
In fact, the chooser doesn't show any icons at all..no printer, no ports.
A while ago I upgraded the OS from 7.5x to 7.6.1 and just now needed to print something but of course the printer wasn't agknowledged.
The printer was working fine before.
Now the chooser DID show the appleshare and PPDXX icons only, which I cancelled out via the extensions manager; I don't use either.
And the extensions manager both shows and has checked-marked the epson stylus pro extension.
Re-installation of the driver goes thru the normal motions and says successful, but still no driver, no nothing in the chooser. I see epson extension in the extensions folder.
Anyone know what the problem is?
Thanks for any input.
dr
