Train crash

I'm sorry.

Yes the shuttle accident was tragic.
Yes the loss of life is sad.

But please, can we have some perspective?
Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you'd have good people doing good things and evil people doing bad things, but for good people to do bad things, it takes religion - Steven Weinberg.

Perspective is for losers.
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

I don't know what your point is, the number of dead is also 7, same as the shuttle.

Yes they are both sad.

The point is, a nation would not have turned out to mourn if 7 people had died in a train crash.

It is sad, and tragic, but the response is way over the top.

I feel sorrier for the people who died in this accident than the ones in the shuttle accident.

Especially because the ones who died in THIS accident were probably NOT expecting it!
In a realm beyond site, the sky shines gold, not blue, there the Triforce's might makes mortal dreams come true.

I enjoy trains a lot. If I make it to 80, I'm gonna be one of those old train nerds travelling around the world, pinning badges to my sweater to signify all the different trains I've travelled on.

I don't think you can get to many places on a train from Australia.

Yup, it all depends on how and who.

10x more people died in Floods and earthquakes in Asia in one shot compared to 9-11. Which one is everbody still going on about today?

Which one was orchestrated by a madman?

Perfer planes, quicker. When I go on vacation, I don't have days to get there, vacation time is precious.

But I did a train commute to work in NYC all summer... wasn't bad.

Truth is trains are very safe, reliable, clean. Just like planes really, just higher chance of surviving if there is an accident. Not to many walk away from a plane crash.

I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with you there...This same logic would dictate that the response to President Kennedy's death was "over the top" as well, when very likely the same day a man was killed by a gun somewhere else in the country.

In any case don't worry xenu; I guarantee you, now that the official memorial has taken place, the shuttle story will drop from headlines just as soon as we find out who the next "American Idol" is.
