Ok emergency.

I have Mac Os X 1.2.4 Titanium 800

I start my comp up today and the blue screen appears with the Mac os x logo it stops loading at UPDATING DNS INFO and it does not proceed after that.

What do I do? do I strt up ion user mode? How?
I tried Norton allready but nothing.

How do I skip the DNS Update process or anything like it?\

I don't know the layout on the PB, but on my iBook I have a reset button on the side. It seems to clear up any difficulties with starting--only thing is that it resets the system time.

don't care about the time.... it seems that it waits for all procedures to come up way longer than before the upgrade... I wonder if Norton Utilities has something to do with it or not.... anyway I am trying to run os X in Single user mode to fdisk it... will see..after Ill try the reset button any other suggestion why it waits for services this long???

Thanks

Are you connected to a network or DSL. If so pull it off, actually pull off all usb off. I had a similar problem and this got me through the boot process.

So I finally was able to fix my problems, I donno if what I did helped it but It seems so.

1) Uninstall Norton Systemworks

2) Reinstall Mac Os X 10.2.4 (Combo)

3) Happy Man

Somehow I think the update 10.2.4 is corrupted and the combo one works much better.... so I reccomend everybody combo

thats it
