Yeah, we could use a few more MMORPGs. Let's all cross our fingers for a good Warcraft III...World of Warcraft might help in this area.

Should have been a check poll but whatever....also apple needs to boot hardware more then most things. Altivec can't work with most all types of games so that's not worth it. I would love games like Baldurs gate to come on a single DVD but the economics of it still favor CD's (4 CD's @ .25 vs 1 DVD @ $3)
The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it always to be kept alive.

I'd like to see more sports games, especially EA Sports' NHL series.

One area in dire need of improvement is SMP (dual processor support). Quake3 has it - ditto Giants. There are quite a few other games that could seriously benefit from SMP........joe

Hardware speeds, ie in motherboard and ram areas, hopefully we'll see this next powermac rev which hopefully uses the Xserve as a jumping off point. Consumer models such as the iMac 2002 should either ship with better video cards in at least the high end models as 2mx is low entry level.

Mainly speed of ports is whats most important for mac gaming to be sucessful. I never bought Wolfenstein because by the time Aspyr released it it was old hat. Certain games age better and these games wont hurt _as much_ if theyre released 6-12 months behind the PC, others do though and that doesnt impress the windows users Apple is trying so hard to switch.

For a good MMORPG (and free to boot!), try http://oberin.com - the graphics are a little antiquated and it can be hard to get signed up (servers are usually maxed). But it can be pretty addictive. And, it's mac-only.
It looks just like a telefunken' U-47 - Zappa

Are there _any_ games out there optimized for AltiVec? I'd be really surprised.
