Has anybody watched a pre-school children's cartoon program called Busytown Mysteries? It centers around an 8 year old cat named Huckle who with the aid of his friends solves everyday mysteries in the imaginary city of Busytown. I can't get enough of it, it's fantastic. I'm pretty sure it's produced in association with the CBC in Canada. Has anyone else watched it?

Can you describe an episode or two for us? I'm not sure if I have seen it but I might remember it if you describe it to me.

Basically it's the cat Huckle and his friends walking, or driving around Busytown until they find "a mystery" then look for clues to solve it.. besson do you still have a yahoo messenger account? or tell me what im client you use so we can chat.

Actually, I do remember this... I used to love trying to find the little gold bug in the Richard Scarry books... You can see the gold bug in this picture below, taken from the CBC site:

Goldbug is the roving reporter employed by Busytown Action News, he gets the latest scoop on mysteries direct from Huckle! Do you think he's Jewish?

Are Jewish people in Australia usually golden?

What did that big worm with the bow tie do? I remember him, but I don't recall his role...

Wow, that brings back memories. I vaguely remember some huge, skinny hardback book with pages and pages of airplanes, ships, trains, and other vehicles filled with all of those animals and looking for that golden bug.

Ok posters time to let them have it. MacNN Staff It's our duty to let MacNN know we hate intelliTXT!

That rings bells...

Looking back at this as an adult, I realize that I was a pretty dumb kid for thinking that a worm could deliver mail. I mean, he doesn't even have hands!

The worm's name is Lowley. He drives an apple car. I remember the Richard Scarry books from when I was a kid, and got some for my three year old too.

Until some other immortal pulls a sword out of his ass and chops your head off. Seriously, where do they keep those swords?

That's cause later in Scarry's life he lived in Switzerland, so his characters were inspired by this by wearing traditional Swiss clothing.

All I will say is that Lowly Worm plays a big role in most of the stories.
