haha you guys have lost it! On topic: All the info I can find on a .msg file is that it is an Outlook file and it appears only Outlook will open it (not even Windows Outlook Express will touch it).
FWIW the following appears to be information on the file format and it looks fairly complex: http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~jochens/msgfmt.txt
